WAR is making Money
I am tired of hearing this war is costing a billion a day. Lets get real. This war is making a money. Over 60% of the costs go to private companies whose business model is WAR. This war is making billions. That is what war is all about. It’s the most profitable business on the planet. Operation Epic Fury represent a massive daily windfall for private industry, totaling over $600 million every 24 hours.
The Road to Fallujah, AGAIN
As a new war rages in Iran - I know we will NOT care for the people, history tells us so. In 2003 we went to war with Iraq - to “free the Iraqi people”. I went to Iraq in 2004 to take a look at what was happening. When I returned, I wrote “A Message From Fallujah To The American People.” First published on Countercurrents.org, it quickly spread far beyond that single outlet, carrying the voices of Fallujah’s civilians into homes across the world. I remember writing it and feeling helpless to stop the violence. I am helpless again, sick from my own silence.
